Well, I’m sure you all are wondering why I waited till this age to have chickens.!
I just wanted to make sure I was mature enough to handle all the enjoyment I was going to have.
Live in NYS, I have been in the planning stage for the last 8 months or so. I finally finished my Building my Run about 2 weeks ago, &
I’m just waiting for the girls to come over.
I am starting with 4 Buff Orpingtons & 4 Barred Rocks. Using sand in coop & Run. Both Coop & Run are completely encapsulated
360 degrees with 19 gauge Hardware Fabric - so “ hopefully “ no predators!!!!!
Will be running water & Electric to the coop, not there yet. Finally installed the auto ChickenGuard, but not quite workin right.
Here I go. Off on tangents again.
Anyway, this is a terrific site, great forum. I hope thru some of my experiences, I can assist someone else
the way I have been helped. Am looking forward to the journey.
