Here is a needle felted chicken I made as an example for the "Cutest Chick" prize. This one is 3" tall, but the one I will make for the prize will be bigger, probably "6. The winner would get to pick the breed/color.

Taking the rails off and setting the eggs set to hatch in the now open space works great if you are stagger hatching. After the chicks hatch, add the rails back and set more egges....and so on....for many months.

Clean the incubator every so often though.

oh poo. this could've meant I could've don't the NYD hatch in my bator with my 3 Christmas eggs! LOL a bator for 42 eggs.....and I have 39 open spots

this is adorable! I wanted to start up needle felting before I started my Claymation proj. what breed is this??

I was going to suggest Tupperware bowls or high-sided plastic baskets, but I like those tomato baskets better as they've got a lid on them.

Anything that is enclosed will shut off oxygen to the embryo.

Mesh bags with a drawstring are great.

This got to be the greatest thing I learned from you. I have been doing this for a while now to separate breeds and it is just fantastic.
