I candled tonight, and the most of my little guys were dancing all over the place!
I have two clears (both Silkie), two have shadows I'm not sure about, one is the second of my only two Araucana eggs
I'm still holding out hope that it's just the shells being too dark to see through, and two that had development on day 5, but are not showing anything today (also Silkies). I also have 5 with saddle-shaped air cells. They were packed really well, but came from California (I'm in Virginia), so, there's that. Should I put the saddle ones in a carton for the remainder of the hatch and carefully tilt them instead of rolling?
Here is a video I took of one of the dancing embryos. it was moving around like crazy! (my camera kept going out of focus, but you can still see the black spot moving about, so cool!)
If the video doesn't work, here is the youtube link
I hope I didn't burn the little guy's butt. I used a 60 watt bulb inside an oatmeal container, and when I was done taking the video, the egg was fairly hot, 107! Ooops! I had to dunk it in some water to cool it off. I candled the remainder of them with my phone flash, so couldn't get more videos.
