. Aaaand now its officially the same time I set them on the 11th!!! Sooo happy I got some early hatchers! Makes it easier to wait for the others hehe

You could "water candle". But beware of dropping your incubator humidity if your in there lots... I'm still waiting on one... I know its alive... Well was very recently...

Crossing my fingers for ya. I'm just gonna wait it out. This is my 4th hatch the first 3 times I got a little over 50% hatch rate and almost all had chicks when I eggtopsied them. For some reason they just didn't internally pip. This time I started with 24 16 clears 8 that developed and so far 1 hatched. This is my worst attempt so far.

I think the waiting is getting to my 8yr old. He keeps asking me to help. I keep telling him no. We still need to wait a while. Ihope I get some zipping this evening. They pipped this morning and have been kinda quiet until about 30 min ago then the cheeping really got loud. I'm trying to keep busy and only check once an hour but it's hard.

You are doing great! Waiting is so very hard but things work out better.

Finally, the marans are starting to pip and zip! One blackcopper out! 2 Birchens pipped. Nothing from the blue coppers yet though. 5 of my 6 EE' are out. I hope this is going to go on another day or so with the marans.
Congratulations on all your 2015 babies. Condolences to those of you who had unforseen circumstances. This is my first hatch and I have learned more than i didnt know i didnt know! Thank you all! You really cut down on the fear factor. Ron was awesomely fabulous. I cant think of a better NYD...ever. What a great, generous group of people!

cree57i where did you get your Marans? I would love to hatch some out this spring or summer. I have seven French Black Copper I got off the internet in the bator right now not due for two more weeks. I hope to have at least a couple hatch. This is my first attempt at this.

We are in the same place! One hatched on day 19 and the rest look like they are on schedule to hatch on Saturday. Poor lonely chick.

Depends, you can tell with sex links right away... But some birds hide it well... Or perhaps we all have rooster denial from time to time... Lol
Adult plumage is a great way to sex them... Hackle and saddle feathers...
