6th Annual BYC New Year's Day 2015 Hatch-A-Long

I hope to get some babies from this rooster on hatch day:

I have six eggs from one of my hens that he is penned with. Hoping for a few more Green Egger Naked Necks from him. I have three hens with him but only one if them is laying right now she is one if my oldest hens that I have. She about 4 years old. One if the first that I bred.
Now that is a nice looking roo. And, I love the olive colored egg..or blue/green..and, I love a NN! I was so hoping I would get a colored egg from my NN when she started laying this fall...but, no..she lays a nice cream colored one though.

She's gotten bigger since this photo..big girl. Has feathers on the front of her feet, her name is Boots.
Trying to find the egg photo.

Hold it with the big end on the bottom. Wait, this is Ron with his eggs in the carton that I'm seeing? Must have a great light for that. My DH built me a really nice candler, can really see into those eggs!

Nice and white. How do you keep her that white? My especially now after all the rain we've gotten is white and mud. That rooster picture is 1/2 Naked Neck himself but you can't really tell it.

I posted a better picture of an older egg--closer to hatch. It is very small on a fresh egg but it gets bigger as the egg develops.
