6th Annual BYC New Year's Day 2015 Hatch-A-Long

They sound like a clear and a blood ring. Blood rings are from bacteria getting to the embryo so it was fertile. The blue egg sounds like it was not fertile.

You should see veins on day 9.

That's what I figured. So bacteria got in the egg, hmm, now I'm wondering if that was one of the eggs I washed...

i hope i see veins when i get home...veins can be seen on day 5/6 right?

Ozark Trail OT-250L from walmart works really well....and $15 fine for skipping

I am still scarred from my last "people of wal-mart" moment. My eyes!

It involved exposed plumber style crack on a middle aged women with similarly exposed muffin tops. I could deal with that. But it was when the crack was used as a thumb holder that I just could not deal. She should have been fined at least $20.00 for that.

I am avoiding WM for awhile!!!!

Has any1 ever soaked an egg in vinegar??? The shell completly dissolves....Im thinking of doing eggtopsies with vinegar
My daughter had this as an assigned experiment for her science. It has been weeks. And the eggs are still in the vinegar, still retaining a thin layer of shell. I bet it works on a thin shelled egg. But not ones from our hens. Nice thick shells from these girls.

She talked with her teacher and instead watched YouTube videos about the remainder of the experiment to finish her report. Lol
