I appreciate your honesty... its hard for sure. Ruby is a sweetheart and so, so gentle. She loves to hop up gently on my 3yos lap and will just sit there 
I feel good in that we had her at the vet a few weeks ago, and tried the spray, had some basic testing done. And, we were able to eliminate the most probable causes. So, it feels like there is something going on internally. She is still laying a few eggs a week, which is crazy to me.
I can't do anything with her today, so I'll just keep monitoring her, and will let her have lots of free-ranging time out on our property. It is her happy place for sure.
