7-11 eggs a day?

We have 11 chickens, and were getting 3-4 per day about a month ago. Suddenly everyone is getting the idea, and we're now getting 5-7 per day this week! I think the light is definitely increasing, and we have had a pretty mild winter here in NM. Even our 3 little banties are pitching in with their tiny little contributions.

you guys are doing great. I have 21 hens and get from 3 to 9 a day. and the # just started to increase this month. was getting 3 to 5 in Dec. Do we have to wait till March? I am ready for spring!!! This AM I opened the door for the chick's to go out One of my roosters was standing at the door when I opened it and he saw all the new snow he turned around and stayed in.

that's pretty good, I have ten hens and get between 4 and 9 eggs a day or about 45 a week, to me it's a little slow but I'm grateful they are laying that many! I have RIR, BR, NHR.

Is there a prefered method to handling eggs to be consumed other than washing them off. We collect every day. Thanks
