7 Billon People...How many Chickens

The world has recently reached a milestone of 7 billion people. That is a lot but it does not compare to the amount of chickens in the world....27 BILLION...I think there are more chickens then any other domesticated animal in the world.

Cause I am sure that with all the chicks born and all the chickens butchered everyday would make it impossible!

The industry says 50 B are raised each year.

Lots of chickens, whatever the true number and how it is figured.

Seriously how are they counting this?

People are counted by Census and the such, but chickens - Far as I know, no one has surveyed mine.
