Yes, she is a BR. The terribly out of focus picture makes her look much better than she really is. She is terribly ratty looking right now with molting.

I thought you were talking about my black and white chicken! Haha! I think all of my chickens are beautiful just because they are mine. That's one beautiful Barred Rock! or some other breed? can't see her too well
Your birds actually look really good. They are not all mixes either, the B/W birds are Barred Rocks, and the white bird is a Silkie rooster. Like some of the other posters have pointed out, it's getting late in the year, and with so little daylight you may not see any eggs until after new years. Especially since your hens are still settling into a new environment. It sounds like you are doing a great job with them!Thank you for everyone’s response! The pics are just in the past few days and they all look so much healthier than when I got them. I am very happy about that.I will get the meat bird food for them. They are such pigs! As much as they have to eat outside, I wouldn’t think they would eat so much food. I let them eat as much as they want in their coop. They eat in the morning and they all go back in the coop around noon for lunch. Chickens are just adorable! But eggs would make them even cuter... Oh - we do have golf balls in the nests and some pine shavings with hay on top. Also, all of the fields have been mowed down from what you see in the coop picture, so they can’t hide eggs out there.View attachment 1950582 View attachment 1950583 View attachment 1950584 View attachment 1950585 View attachment 1950581
