7 chickens and 8 eggs?

I'm glad I'm back! Computer was down!
I have a question. This morning I let the girls out and I found a soft shelled egg . It was still intact not broken. One of the girls must have dropped it while roosting maybe prematurely. I come home from work and find 7 eggs in the nest boxes. I don't get it

. Yesterday, only 6 girls laid 6 eggs. What's going on?

I not sure how old your chicken are so, I will assume they are just starting to lay!

It is fairly normal when they start to lay to have a soft shell.

If they have been laying then they need more calcium in their diet.
