7 month old Columbian Wyandotte-rooster or hen?

You didn't pull a switcheroooo on us now did you @5crazies ??:p
Here's your first photo from 10/18, then the photo of the same bird today. Big difference. The one from Oct looks like a cockerel, now in Feb., it's harder to tell!
I agree, he should have more saddle feathers, the tail is off and the comb looks different too.
Time will tell how this turns out, will be interesting for sure.

Hard to see the eggs really well, so we'll have to look at those again.

I promise it’s the same bird! And I agree, he/she does look so different! It has filled out and, As I said earlier, the comb and wattle have grown a lot in the last month. It’s cold here so it was puffed up when I took the recent pictures.

I’ll post more yolk pictures next time we have eggs. :)

Okay here’s another yolk. Same yolk, one pic is zoomed in. Does it look fertilized?

Wyandotte in general can be lazy layers. It's also possible it's stuck in between male and female. I personally have never had a hen that didn't lay something at some point, but others have had non layers.

Since it's comb has recently enlarged I would expect an egg in 4-8 weeks.

I’m back. Sorry for all the updates guys. We finally got some warm weather here so I was able to spend a little more time out with the birds and got a few more pictures of the mystery bird.
We still haven’t heard a crow or gotten an egg. The 2 Columbian Wyandottes and barred rock will be 1 year old in a few days.

Oh goodness! Now I really don't know LOL
@oldhenlikesdogs any ideas? I still see "roosterly" features, but could be wrong. But he has a bit of hennish looks too. (don't ya'll love my made up words;))

I love your made-up words and I completely agree! One minute I’m sure it’s a hen, then another minute a rooster! Thank you for reassuring me I’m not crazy for continuing to question this
It does not have saddle feathers yet it’s feathers are very different than the hens. The hackle feathers are very thin and pointy where the other wyandotte’s hackle feathers are wide and roundish. It’s posture reminds me of a rooster but it doesn’t act like a rooster. It’s still pretty timid. It ran away from my 4 year old when she ran near them.

Also, although there are no saddle feathers, the feathers in that area are longer and thinner than the other wyandotte’s and sort of drape around the tail, just not as dramatic as a rooster’s. The tail feathers are also longer and thinner than the other wyandott’s. Maybe you can see what I’m talking about in this picture. It just seems that it would much more obviously look like a rooster at 1 year old!
