I have a few backyard chickens that I got as chicks in May. My Welsummer, who looked to be the first to mature with her waddle and comb, has still not gifted me with an egg. My two Easter Eggers and my Spitzhauben are all laying. I live in central texas so it isn't very cold here (usually highs in the 60s-70s this time of year). Is this breed known for laying later (I tried to search that), or do some chickens just have fertility issues and not lay? My chickens are my pets so I don't care if she ever lays, but I'm curious.

Chickens respond to the amount of daylight, not necessarily the temperature.

I have several Welsummers and around November they're all like "Closed for the season!". They typically lay from February to November, then nothing until the next February.

If she's otherwise healthy acting, you might just need to wait until the days get longer again.

Thank you! I know about the daylight, but since I'm in Texas, it's not like it gets dark at 4 pm like the north. But the sunlight is still shorter, so maybe she's waiting until spring.
