I have just had her for 1 week. I talked to the breeder and he told me she had never layed an egg. Should I be worried? What should I feed her? Layer or starter/grower? I need any help I can get. I don't want to do anything wrong. Thanks for any help

Is the hen 7 months old? Some breeds do take long to start laying and the stress of moving to a new home would've put her off laying also, even active layers stop for awhile when stressed. You can feed her grower or layer. If she's not laying I'd personally feed, with oystershell on the side, so she can help herself when she needs the extra calcium for egg shells.

I agree. Feed her layer rations and be patient. The stress from the move, the new surroundings, possibly even the new pecking order (if you have other chickens) will cause low egg production. If after a few weeks she still hasn't laid, you might have been sold an old hen. But it's far too early to jump to that conclusion.
