13/24 are officially out so far, and we're still on day 20! I think we had two more brown leghorns pop out while I was away from the room. I think one MAY have been a Red Phoenix maaaybe? The egg shells are taking up so much space, I feel bad for leaving everything in there but I don't want to mess with it any more after helping Tomato. Everyone is so cute! Fingers REALLY crossed the Ameraucana hatches especially, and... well, everyone!

Hopefully the Red Phoenix was Firefly! Come on little one...you can do it!!

Congrats on all of the beautiful chickies so far!! You definitely made the right call with tomato! I would keep a close eye on everyone else because where you have one sticky chick, you can easily have others. Intervening before it is too late becomes increasingly important as time goes on.

If you do end up candling at all, any that haven’t internally pipped by this point probably won’t make it. And try to keep track of any that have externally pipped - if they go over 24 hours without hatching, then most likely they are stuck. Keep hatching little ones!

I’m thinking once everyone is dried up, and if no one is zipping, I’m going to do a quick grab-up of everyone to get them into the brooder and check on the others. That’ll likely be tonight if all goes well. That way I can do a quick looksee at the eggs. There’s so many babies now though, I’m trying to think on if it’s okay to open it multiple times or if I just grab a couple at a time then wait a while to pull more. Chaos!

I’m SO happy. I was so worried we would end up with only a few, but this has given me bigger hope for hatching. I just gotta figure out the best way to get the dry babies out tonight and to check on the un-pipped eggs. It is CHAOS in there. Haha! And to think in only 3 days another batch will start hatching!

So we're still at 15/24 hatched (on day 20! Whaaaaat!), but the Golden Sebright and another Brown Leghorn are working their ways out slowly. The Sebright's still on the first big pip but I can see its beak. I think the Leghorn's taking a break, but I'm keeping an eye out as it looks like it'd started to zip. That or it had a sibling try to make an early house call. We got 7 of the babies out and into the baby brooder with their first sips of water taken, YAY! I was able to get the egg shells out too for less chaos in there. Everyone else is still being given time to rest and recoup and hopefully encourage out the other chicks out of their eggs!
