Thursday, Friday and today my silkie hen

hatched the 7 eggs she had laid.

The first egg hatched

21 days from the day the hen started sitting.

I think 7 for 7 shows that I got some good stock when I bought the hen and rooster.

The hen had built her nest in the wood shavings I use for my deep litter, must be an excellent nest material too.

An old parrot cage with the tray out is being used over the nest to keep the egg laying hens from eating the little guys food. Just another awesome day in my paradise!!!!
