Hi all,
Last night I noticed my 7 week gosling Peggy has developed a lump on the bottom of her bill, I actually took a photo of her 1 hour prior and no lump was there so it must have come up within that time space.
It doesn’t seem to bother her, you can touch it and it’s soft with a small bump, she’s eating l, drinking and acting the exact same.
I checked her mouth as best as I could and there’s no sharp obstruction that I can see.
She was playing in a stream at dusk prior to the lump appearing, is it possible she’s been bitten? Or could it be an abscess? But it seems such a small amount of time for an abscess to appear. Any ideas would be great! I’ve left her overnight and it seems unchanged, photos attached

It could be swelling or she could be pushing down with her tongue, I’ve seen both in geese. You could try giving her some fresh squeezed lemon in her water, it will boost her immune system and it’s an anti inflammatory and see if it goes down on it’s own.

Update: I had proper look under her tongue and this is what I saw! Maybe she’s cut it and it’s swollen?!!? Any ideas?
Once again, she’s acting 100% normal, eating drinking, playing...
