I'm getting the sense that my Ruth may be a Roo by the looks of her (and according to BYC input as well). S/he is 7 weeks old on Aug 13, has been handled a lot and is

very docile, and I'm so sad to see him/her go. While I'm not completely sure if it's a rooster or not, I cannot take the chance that s/he will crow, as I absolutely cannot have a rooster in my urban microflock. Please help me find the next place for this bird! I'm in the immediate DC area.

Ha! I found a great home for him, but I'm keeping an eye on another one of my littles hoping it's a pullet! If it turns out that it's a cockerel, I'll definitely let you know! I'll be super bummed to lose TWO of my microflock to sexing mistakes by the hatchery, not to mention this second one is my tamest and likes to sit in my lap.

If you do get another cockerel, I'd be willing to drive to pick any up, I've wanted to add Light Brahmas to my flock. They're such pretty birds.
