Hi guys,
I have an Ancona chick, S/he is about seven weeks old. Can anyone tell it s/he's a rooster? She has quite a large comb, but is that just the breed? I also have a cochin/pekin bantam who is the same age, but has a much redder comb, who I suspect is a rooster. Any help much appreciated!
The little black and white guy at the back is the Ancona

PS Sorry for the bad photos! You know what its like trying to take photos of curious chicks!!! :)
-Thanks

I'm leaning towards rooster, but am not sure. The comb, at least in the photos, appears to be rather large, but not all that red.

got any better pics??

I think pullet. Anconas, like leghorns, can have some rather large combs. Even the hens. At 7 weeks that one has a tiny, pale comb. If it were a cockerel I would expect it to be larger and with more color.

Thanks guys! Hopefully its a pullet
