Lucy is my 7 and 3 day old week pullet who jus today started making cracking noises when breathing. My husband mowed yesterday and today and it's been about 90 degrees...but could this be a respitory issue or MG??

Crackling or rales is the sound they make when there is mucus in the airway. It could be something environmental, or it might be an early sign of a respiratory disease. Watch for sneezing, watery or bubbly eyes, or nasal drainage. Have there been any older chickens sick in the past, or have you added any new birds recently from another person’s flock?

No new chickens, they are all my originals. No watery or bubbly eyes, no head shaking, no smelly discharge or nasal drainage. I'm just hoping it's environmental. Shes never had this issue before.

I added ACV and hydro hen to their water. Should I get anything in anticipation of respitory illness?

I also looked down her throat and didnt see anything obstructing her airway.

Antibiotics can help if there is nycoplasma or a bacterial infection, but a virus would not respond to them. Tylosin, doxycycline, or Denagard are some antibiotics online for pigeons that can treat MG. MG is one of several respiratory infections, and others are infectious bronchitis, ILT, and coryza. I would just continue to watch her, and make sure that she has good air circulation in her coop. Here is a link with details of each of those diseases and others:

Question what if the hen is making the crackling noise has bubbly eyes and a smelly discharged? I’ve rescued a hen today from a place that had slot of chicken. She is alone in my room I’ve given her VetRX as well some antibiotics. I just don’t know what she has
