7 week old chick with closed eye

We got some more chicks a few weeks ago. I have a buff orphington, about 7 weeks old. Her eye is closed a lot. I didn’t think too much of It bc she was was and is eating and thriving. Then it would be ok again. I just noticed tonight It is now swollen and looks almost blue or purple around the eye. Any thoughts? I’ve researched eye worms. They have hardly been outside in the grass till recently but I think the squinting started before we even started bringing them out. This just got much worse today.

It would more likely be from a peck or a scratch that eyeworm, which is rare. Respiratory diseases are also more common. Can you post a picture of the eye?

They have gone to bed for the night. I’ll get a picture in the morning. It does look almost bruised.
