Okay. It's been awhile. I should update. The chick in question from the original post is a pullet, I'm almost sure. She will be 19 weeks on Sunday. There are no cockerel traits, other than her comb was bigger than the other chicks. I suppose it could still be a very late bloomer. I will come back with a picture later.
I'm still in shock that my hens all hatched pullets! There were only 6 that lived through the hatching, but still! How weird.
I did purchase a couple of banty chicks from Atwoods out of the straight run brooder and got a boy. He is 18 weeks. (Dark Cornish bantam and he is a beauty). He's young but hasn't challenged my rooster yet. I hope I can keep him.
I'm just so surprised still. Not complaining, though.
