Hi All! I ordered Murray Mcmurray's EEs. I had ordered 5 pullets but this one I have doesn't seem to look like a pullet. Looking to see what the experts think.

Why do I think it might not be a pullet?? Because the comb development and color is more than the other 4. The coloring of the feathers seems patchier than the others. Like the white shoulder patches. What say you?

Can you send another picture? And do you know exactly how old they are? In my opinion the chicken is a roo, based on the idea the comb is a little redder and bigger.

For Easter Eggers, color and pattern do matter when it comes to deciding if a chick is male or female. This little guy, has a very red, well developed comb; patchy white shoulders and dark red coming in on the wings. All of those things point to this chick being male.

I agree; definitely a cockerel.
