This one has me a bit confused. I'm really hoping for a pullet, so I wouldn't have to keep 2 roosters. It's my first and only paint I've hatched. I know it's a bit early, but I want to know if there are any more obvious signs of it being male?

Okay. I already kind of felt like it would be a cockerel. I usually take weekly pictures of all my chicks under 20 weeks old to track their development, so I can do weekly updates for this one. There is a little bit of development in the comb. My guess is that it is a cockerel, but it's too soon to be sure. Watch the comb for the next few weeks. Rapid development in that area means you have a cockerel. Feel free to re-post any time with updates.
