I’m trying to attach a video to help, but I have a 7 week old Whiting that will not stop “crying” it appears. His/her poop looks very bloody and he/she keeps getting pushed over. I’m very concerned. I started Corid about 30 minutes ago out of fear that the entire flock will be infected with whatever is going on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I guess I should also add he is getting g worse daily and will not come down the stairs of the coop and neither will the 2 others chicks he constantly huddles with.

Move the bird to icu now......a small box, cage, etc.....provide warmth, quiet and calm in addition to direct offering of medicated water (not force feeding, but using a soonfo hold water at the birds break so it senses and is encouraged to take it in).

I think the Corid is a good idea. Do you have the liquid or the powder Corid? Dosage is 2 tsp of the liquid or 1.5 tsp of the powder per gallon of water for 7 days. For a bospost you can give the sickest one 2 drops of undiluted Corid twice a day, and make sure that it is dring well or syringe the water into it a drop at a time.

To make the same concentration of undiluted liquid Corid, take 2 tsp of the powder and add 10 ml of water.

I did 2 tsp of Liquid per gallon and decided to go ahead and treat the rest of the flock to prevent any spreading.
I will see if I can get a drop of Corid undiluted in now.

How long does it take to work? Could it be too late? Poor thing hasn’t moved from my lap since I have him the medication. He drank about 2 capfuls of water though.
