I know he's a silkie, just hoping someone might think there's a chance he's a she. I'm a novice and relying on internet research. Opinions?

Guess I need a bachelor coop. Thanks for verifying, I knew he was, just holding out hope. That’s a cockerel.
A bachelor coop? That will unfortunately not work. You can‘t keep roosters together without hens.Guess I need a bachelor coop. Thanks for verifying, I knew he was, just holding out hope.
Sure can. Lots of people on here have bachelor pens.A bachelor coop? That will unfortunately not work. You can‘t keep roosters together without hens.
Really? I wouldn't have thought. Everything I’ve read says “You have to keep roosters with a group of hens.” I would think that there would be a whole lot of fighting between a group of roosters.Sure can. Lots of people on here have bachelor pens.
I have a bachelor pen with seven Nankin bantam boys. "The Boys" range in age from last summer's hatch to three years old - and they get along like frat house boys! Butterball is (and always has been "Top Roo" with Flutter as his lieutenant. Pippin is low-man, but I expect that to change as he ages (he's currently the "freshman," but looks to outrank poor Simpleton, shortly.) There's some occasional bickering about the mid-range three, but they tend to settle it without blood. Just like frat boys, they're fine unless they get a peek at one of the girls next door (from the main coop.) As soon as they're reminded that they have hormones, the dancing displays start.Really? If you have the space, I highly recommend a bachelor coop. The Boys are beautiful (I LOVE the eye candy!) and they're much friendlier than when they're with the ladies. On top of that, they're highly entertaining. Don't tell my ladies, but The Boys are actually my favorite flock!
