7 weeks old Sex and Breed

Hi Everyone,

Well, this is my 1st post. I am new to raising chicks and I have found this forum to be invaluable. I am hoping some of you with more experience can help me identify the breed and sex of my chicks. They were all born on the same day and are now 7 weeks old. I am a little confused about how to put the pictures in this post and I hope this is correct.

Well I can't be sure about number one but to me 2, 3 and 4 look like red sex link chicks and if that is the case they would all be hens. Maybe someone else could give you an idea. 7 weeks is kind of hard for me to tell sex.

2-maybe RIR
3 and 4-Golden Comet
Those are my guesses

I agree that 3 and 4 look like red sexlinks. Will be very pretty girls. The others, i'm not sure about. Also, it's hard to see these pictures. They're too small to see the little details that make the difference.

I agree that 3 and 4 are Golden comets/ Red sex link pullets.

2 does look like a Rhode Island Red or New Hampshire Red

1 could be a brown leghorn or Welsummer pullet

It looks like #2 has some barring in some of the feathers? In that case, i would say definitely not RIR.

For me, it is a little soon to get very confident about gender, except of course in the case of the red sex links.
