This lovely baby came from a heritage breeder. Very friendly. Got her at about a week old and has always had a pretty big comb and a huge tail. The comb is what worries me, is she a little he??

With that comb size, it is 100% a cockerel. Sadly, I am not confident it is of heritage line either. Roosters of that kind have much finer and lighter colored barring, similar to this bantam of the same breed I used to have. Sorry to be the bearer of had news :((

It’s the colouring that has confused me the most. And at 7 days he already had a big comb. Does the fast feathering mean anything with this breed?
