Although I'm clueless about chickens, I'm hoping to start a tiny flock next Spring...we've started to build a chicken run attached to the coop, which was already on the property when we bought our house.

I have in fact, for quite a while, been lurking in the wings, scratching around hoping to pick the brains of the experts and learn as much as possible. Now I'm a member, no longer cooped up alone....

This site is brilliant and I'm so thankful to be able to join BYC!

Welcome, Janego. If you have not yet made the leap and purchased chicks, be mindful of the breeds you choose. Breed selection matters. Select chicks based on what you want from your flock. What size is "tiny"? Would love to share information with you, as would everyone else here on BYC. This site is amazing! Kat(want2know)
