Once I get it I'm gonna have to test it to see if it works. Hope my quails start laying soon!

Happy to help. I started doing it that way since my kids like to swarm me and I didn't want to be holding an egg and drop it after being bumped.

Put three thermometers in my incubator. My incubator thermometer read 99.5 for the whole 11 days. All of my other thermometers read 97.3. NO WONDER! The thermometer that came with it is on a little card with the numbers printed on it. The thermometer can slide on this card changing your reading. I am so annoyed.

I also bought a new hygrometer and tested it today. It will only make it to 60% with the salt calibration. It is reading 66% in the incubator, which I suppose is really 81%. I swear. Is NOTHING accurate anymore?!

I wasn't incubating, I was making coddled eggs for 11 days!

Great lessons learned!

Most of us have been where you are. The thermometer that comes with those incubators are a joke.

Your next hatch will be much better for sure.
