7th Annual BYC New Year's Day 2016 Hatch-A-Long

Upon reflection, my eggs are going to hatch too early to win anything. Guess I'm out this year. Good luck!
You can still win the other contests--Random post and the new ginger bread contest too--There will be more.

@generaldsherman Stick around!

I want to join the 12/11 hatch!! First time for me. I have a Brahma Rooster and hens in one coop and American Rooster and hens in another coop. I will be collecting eggs as we get closer! Making a diy incubator.

It's tiiime!!

Ok I really need to actually figure out what day I am setting, because I will be getting serama hatching eggs from a friend and then i will be ordering eggs. since there will probably be shipped eggs in the bunch, I want at least 4-5 chicks out of a dozen that i can fit in my incubator. I would love to have enough to keep a few hens and a cockerel and sell the rest. But i don't know. there will be frizzle eggs in the bunch, I will have to make sure that I ask her to mark the eggs that come from the pen with the frizzle

Hi!

I'm new, and I'm TOTALLY not familiar with the New Years Hatch along. But I think I would love to be a part of this. I'm on page 12 trying to catch up.

One question: can I set the eggs as a staggered hatch? I have my own chicken eggs, but I've got to get the first eggs going because they're not going to be viable if I don't get them on. (I may be too late already for the oldest...but I like living on the edge!)

If I can't...I'd just do the December hatch-a-long. I've already spoke on that thread...lol!

I would have mostly EE eggs and probably a few old English Bantam eggs.

(Unless other new pullets start laying. SO exciting!!)
