It's so exciting to see chicks already! I marked my air cells and put my eggs on shelf liner, but I don't think I'll raise humidity for a bit, air cells aren't that big. Getting excited and feeling hopeful! I can't do worse than last year!

I have 3 Serama eggs from my birds and 10 local Silkie eggs! I am hoping hoping for paint, lavender and porcelain silkies.

I set some more Serama eggs this last week too.

Actually the former owner here left lots of good stuff. Many screens. Course lots of junk as well. I've thrown 22 tons of pure junk away. Coming from a pack rat as myself it was junk.

That is what I have left going into lockdown. I had 8 silkie eggs quit. That seems like a lot but I am not sure how fresh they all were. I asked for a lot considering the time of year. They are still my best bet to get the colors I want. I hope the rest hatch!


I like the Seramas in your avatar, especially the one on the far right, so pretty! I am not sure which Serama is laying right now, so my chicks might be all white or Crele.

Bummer on the dropped egg almost did the same tonight. Crud they are slippery
