Are we still supposed to post our hatches?
I thought the LG chilled and cooked the eggs to death but I surprisingly have 2 viable chicks. That's out of 7 set.
Another hatched that didn't make it.
They're living comfortably with the Christmas chicks.

It's nice to have chicks survive a bator melt down. Hope they both make it.

I refuse to use it again except for a few hours in an emergency.
I have a behemoth of a cabinet I built but needs a few modifications I need to complete in the next week or so. Next setting is the 19th.

My little coolerbator that I've put together from bits and pieces usually does pretty well. I don't need too many to hatch at once so it only holds 28. I will need to tweek the fans a bit I think and find a better thermostat I use a wafer and it varies too much or the fans aren't moving air properly. Four small computer fans held about 2" above top of egg.

Is there a worst hatch rate contest...Lol! I had 0 calls hatch, but my Ancona ducks from Louisiana are doing great! I actually hatched one that looks exactly like I wanted...but man does he have a set of lungs! My dog is so happy to have more ducklings! He just wants to lay on the floor and nuzzle them. I think the super loud one confuses him though
