7wk BO....Worried she is a he!

It's a roo, mine don't even develop wattles hardly until around eight+ weeks, and when they do, they stay pink for a long time.

I had 2 BO chicks I raised together. Exactly the same age. One was huge and had a pink/red comb early on (like yours) and one was small and had a yellow comb. They both turned out to be pullets, as they are both laying now. I think yours looks like my Bertha did at that age, so I'm going to vote pullet. But they always like to fool you, so you'll probably have to wait for an egg or a crow.

I have 5 BO hens and all their combs are yellow and my roo's comb is red.

It doesn't look too rooey to me. I think my BO roo was more red at that age. I don't have high confidence in my answer at this pointso don't bet the farm on it.

I have two questionable white orps right now a little younger than yours.

My buffy hens both have large red combs and wattles. Here's one at approx 8 weeks.

Don't worry any more, it IS a roo. Look at the redness in the wattles and the big old legs. Sorry, just don't shoot the messenger.

I have to admit I almost gave in to the posts that were certain Babs is a roo but I have to say, when I saw the pic, I thought "pullet". Good luck!
