Hi! I tried posting in the silkie sexing thread, but haven't gotten any responses. Any ideas on whether or not these are leaning more towards cockerel or pullet? They're not good quality at all, but I'm not planning to breed or show them-just wanted to get them out of a less-than-ideal brooder situation (one is a gimp as a result, but is eating and getting along fine!). I feel like I might see streamers on their necks, but they were also being picked/bullied when we got them in that exact spot, so just uncertain? Thanks in advance!

Chick One (very, very small-small/smooth comb and I've never noticed red in it, but with the camera flash maybe there is some?):

Chick Two (larger of the two, but still smaller than other silkie chicks its age, not sure if it's poor breeding had to do with it?):

absolutely! I'll take some more this afternoon and post ASAP. Thank you so much for the input!

Thanks everyone for your opinions! I'm 90% certain the white one is a cockerel (neither "act" like a male, they're both sweet and friendly, skittish at first, but cuddly when held) because of the swoop and large comb, but the grey one has me going back and forth 60 times a day! Haha. We'll keep both until they crow/lay an egg and if they're both cockerels, see how our ladies like having two men. If they don't, we'll re-home the white one (the gray/splash one-we were told it was splash, but it doesn't really look it!-will more than likely stay with us either way as it had a gimp leg when we received it. It does fine getting around/eating, but don't want it to be someone's dinner; if that was the only option-we'd rather give thanks and do it ourselves!).

As promised, here are some more full-body pics, I hope they help some! I'll try to update in a few weeks and see what you all think, but I agree. They're both leaning towards cockerel at this point.

*Sorry, you'll have to click on them to make them bigger. I took them with a high-res camera, so the site is making me condense them to upload!*

Here is Un-named (who I have been thinking is our cockerel):

Crutchy (who I was *hoping against hope* might be a girl, but now think also might be a cockerel):
