Hey everyone. My 4 chicks are 8 days old! I have a question about loud chirping when the temperature isn't too hot or too cold (I don't think. The warm side is 87. Is that good?) and they have food/water. Do they sometimes chirp loudly for attention, especially when it's only one doing it? Do they tell you when they want you to leave so they can sleep? I'm asking because this is the third night in a row my husband and I sat outside (in the garage. That's where they are for now) with them after dinner and about an hour into us sitting out there, one starts chirping very loud and only stopped for a minute, watching, when my husband bent down to their level and ran his finger on the outsidd of the cage. She only stopped for good when I turned the light off and went inside. I just peeked on them and they're sleeping. I honestly can't tell you if it's the same one all 3 nights, though, because three of them look very similar. lol None are panting and none were huddling looking like they're looking for warmth either. They were all running around or eating, including the loud mouth. She was running around too. What the heck is she trying to tell me? Help! This is so confusing. lol This is my 3rd night with them. They were 5 days old when I brought them home. Thank you for any help you can give!
