They need 14 hrs. of light to start laying 16hrs. to peak production and when it gets to around 12 give or take they stop . Hope this helps !

It is okay. She likely, is starting to go through a molt, which will stop her from having a consistent laying pattern for a while. Day light can also affect their laying. They need around 14 hours of daylight to be able to lay, so depending on where you are, it might be getting to that point where egg production will be slowing down for the winter. You say she doesnt seem to be eggbound, or ill, so i believe there is no serious issue right now, and likely is just the coming of the season.

It's my first autumn with chickens and my egg production has dropped too. There was a day with no eggs from my three pullets last week. I figure every egg is a gift, and this is a way to make me appreciate them more.

At 8mo, she's probably not going to molt, maybe a partial.
But the shortening days could slow her down over winter.
Most pullets will lay all thru their first winter without supplemental lighting,
but not all....some may take a break or lay less frequently.
There are no real hard number of daylight hours needed to lay, every bird is different.
What breed is she?
If she's eating/drinking/pooping/moving around OK, I'd not worry.
