I have an Easter egger female. 8months old and not laying. It's now winter here but temperate climate so days aren't super short.
My boys started crowing this week, also months, and at the same time realised what girls are for. Is it an issue that they're trying to mate with her even if she's not laying yet? I also have6 other girls with them and one or both roosters will be rehomed in the next 2 months

Cockerels will try to mate regardless of whether a pullet/hen is laying eggs or not.
You are just past your winter solstice. Your days are getting longer so look for your pullets to start laying before long. Check the space between the pointy pelvic bones. If it is over 2 finger width, laying is likely imminent.

Easter Eggers are slow to start laying but I'm betting it will be happening soon for yours now.
If your females are being injured you may need to remove the males.

No-one is getting injured except perhaps the boys ego. The girls chase them and shout at them, but they are being rehomed, simply because I don't have need for 3 (I have a Bantam roo baby but he is with a Bantam female in another coop, just waiting for the big boys to go)
