I've been delaying asking until these two were a bit older if I have pullets or roo's. I know it is pretty much a crap shoot with the Light Brahmas when they are young but I'm curious what you guys think. I picked them up from a local trading days event. They are just about 8 weeks old and come from a straight run. Tentatively named Poppy and Daisy/Popeye and Dewey, I am totally on the fence with them. So what do you think?

Let me know if there are any other pic's that you'd like to see.

Thanks!

Oh my I have been through every thread related to sexing Light Brahma's since I brought these two home. One of the big notes mentioned in the thread you suggested is the lack of rigid tail feathers on the roo's which has me concerned. Neither of my young-un's have developed the black rigid tail feathers yet. I'm also noticing some pretty thick legs on Poppy but what I am not seeing is a pronounced comb on either of them suggesting they may be pullets. Right now they are in their own coop and are living a pretty sweet life but if they are roo's they'll be re-homed to a friends ranch where they can be kings of the castle, if they are pullets I'll be integrating them with my two other Light Brahma girls into the big coop.
