Yeah, can do. If it is a boy, hopefully he’s nice is all I can say about it right now.Update us in a few weeks. Those wattles are quite developed.

Cockerel. Look at those wattles. He looks like he's sweet.@Overo Mare What are your thoughts on Blueberry now?

It's most likely a SS if from TSC or a feed store. Definitely a cockerel.View attachment 2741145
I think my cousin is in denial about his own blue cochin
He got his out of the leftover chick bin at the hatchery too. They were all supposed to be pullets, but Blueberry and apparently my cousin’s cochin are saying otherwise. I have another I got out of the bin that looks like a boy, too. Though, im not sure if he’s a speckled sussex or a jubilee orpington. Him and Blueberry are both still sweet boys, but isn’t that how it usually goes until the hormones kick in? I’ve gone through 8 roosters before getting one that wasn’t a dickhead.

Nah, they’re from Meyer Hatchery. Meyer’s has both SS & Jubilee Orps. Me and my cousin drove there back in April and where you go to pick up your chick orders, they have bins with chicks, turkeys, ducks, & sometimes guineas. The chicks are from whatever was left after filling orders and they were supposed to all be pullets, but sexing mistakes happen. It's most likely a SS if from TSC or a feed store. Yep, that's usually how it goes.![]()
