Hi, my 8 b/o chicks who are 8 weeks old have always sneezed quite a bit and I have posted asking about it before. But now it seems they are sneezing much more. They are fine, eating and drinking but just sneezing often. They have been in their coop for the past two weeks and have been allowed out into their run for the day, then getting shut in for the night. If it's hot, they don't get the heat lamp, if it's cool, I turn it on. Do you think because it's been cool and a little misty, drizzly the past few days, that they might just be chilled? If that's the case they'll stay in tomorrow under the lamp. Is there anything I can do to help them? They are not vaccinated chicks and were on medicated chick starter for their first 6 weeks. Now they are on regular chicken feed. Please help!

could be a little dusty for them..
are they showing any leg problems?
but they could have caught a chill..
are they fully feathered?
could be chilly at night..
chilling interferes with metabolism..
are you giving chick vitamins?

here is a link to meds..click for more info..
maybe the oxy would be ok..(brand name is Duramycin)..the oxy shown is the generic...

When are they sneezing? Inside the coop or outside in the run? If inside do you have enough ventilation?

They were sneezing when I brought them in, in the evening yesterday. It started immediately. If they are reacting to the pine bedding, what can I use to replace it with?

The chicks I believe are fully feathered, however something weird I was noticing last night was that I was seeing many little feathers.

They are not on vitamins and it has been really chilly here at night and even during the day. I have to go out this morning and check on them, hope they are ok.
