I have two guinea keets. they are 2 months old and I noticed that their orange legs are starting to turn to a brownish/blackish color. Is that normal, or do they have some disease?

Also, Mine are already starting to call, and it seems like they both have a two syllable call. I know that that means that they are hens, but at 8 weeks does that rule still work?

I'm new to raising guineas, forgive me!

It's probably normal. Are they pearl guineas? Once they start making the double syllable call they don't go back. I would be pretty sure they are girls.

Yes, they are French Pearl guineas. Does it only happen in that color?

Thanks

No, my lavenders have grey/orange legs, kind of blotchy. I'm not sure what color legs the buffs have, guess that will give me something to look for tomorrow, other than eggs
