Hi,

After the sad loss of her sister, to keep the existing 2.5 year-old khaki campbell duck (Queequeg) company, I've picked up another pair (Leeloo and Multipass) who are only 8 weeks old.

As the original pair were picked up at point of lay, I wondered about what behaviours to expect?

So far, they tend to follow Queequeg first thing in the morning around the garden and to the pond, which they mostly stare at longingly without venturing in much, but there they seem to decouple from Queequeg and just hang out by the pond, not doing much of anything (there's a food dish and water tray there, so they're eating/drinking, etc. so I'm not concerned about their health).

Is that kind of general inactivity (i.e. not foraging around the garden, etc.) just a symptom of them not being used to their surroundings as yet?
