8 week old seems to have a cold

So this morning my boys noticed that my 8 week old bantam d'uccle was making funny sounds. I observed but she was behaving fine. She was sneezing. Now her wheeze is much worse and it is the most pathetic little sound but she still acts normal. I don't have any antibiotic but I think I can pick some up at TSC if they have it tomorrow. Should I do AB? Will the others get it since they are all in together? I hate to give antibiotics but I hate for all my babies to die too! I mean how do they get these colds???

Sounds like Infectious Bronchitis. It is highly contagious, but does not kill. It is like a common human cold, but for chickens.

Even though most of the time they recover on their own, I'd just give your chicks some Poly-vi-sol with NO iron. (found at drugstores)

Dosage:

1mL of Poly-vi-sol (no iron) per gallon of water.

OK well I had some electrolyte/vitamin stuff for animals and mixed it up and gave it to them. I hope she is ok--and OF COURSE it is a hen! lol!
