So far so good! The other two are so gentle...australorp and cochin. They didn't notice she was gone, or are so happy to have another buddy. They don't worry that she is on her hocks occasionally while scratching or at the feeder. Its almost like they are looking out for her, and being extra careful. So odd. My pets are always weird. No one ever does what you expect.
"Chuck Norris" is now able to roost after a couple attempts, I gave her some junk to step on to help, she is a brown leghorn so insists on being up there with her buds.
And I have see her stretching and flapping and examining her wings!!!
What was damaged? Don't exactly know. Maybe muscles and tendsons were perforated with temporary nerve damage, maybe she was smashed on the head.
There was not a drop of blood, it looked like her wing and leg had possible punctures but feathers were so mashed down, I didn't want to pick at it.
She is almost back to normal.....Again, from "DEAD chicken position" to Normal. Wow. Hope it wasn't her pelvis that causes her egg laying problems. not because I want her eggs, but I dont want eggs to get stuck and kill Chuck Norris.
