8 Wk Old Pullets: ID needed!

Hi BYC! I have a couple mystery pullets I'd like to get your folks opinion on! They're roughly 8 weeks old.


This one I suspect might be a barred rock. Thoughts?


Now the perched pullet I'm not too sure about. She was sold to us as a speckled sussex but it doesn't look like any of the SS photos I've found online. The chicken from the first picture is standing in the back.

#1 looks like a Barred Rock
#2 is either a Barred Rock or a Cuckoo Maran

I would say girl 1 is a BR, and girl 2 is probably a Cuckoo Marans judging by the uneven pattern.
