Hello all,
Yes, I have been a member here for more then 8 years an I am finally getting around to posting. I am currently in NC Moving to Indiana next June. I've bought a small farm there. We plan to focus on Foul, bees and some gardening for personal use. Look forward to interacting with members and learning as much as possible. Thank you.

Would like feed back on three questions.

What is your favorite egg laying breed?

What is your favorite meat breed?

What is your favorite multi-use breed?

I can’t answer any of your questions as I’m new to chickens as of this year and only have 1 breed who have yet to lay! But good luck with your farm, that’s very exciting!

I like McMurray's CX for meat. For layers & dual purpose I like endangered breeds.

Welcome to activity on BYC.
I like WLHs for egg production but they don't live very long. I also like Australorps and PBRs.
I think Australorps would make a good dual purpose bird but not nealy the feed conversion efficiency as the Cornish cross. I don't currently raise chickens for meat.
