Measure twice woodworks (on Facebook) is about 30 min from us in Avon Illinois. Custom built to whatever size you want. Figure by time I buy a Rubbermaid tub or whatever this was just as good of a price and much better looking.

Ok. Put my eggs in the night of the 10th. Candled tonight as I'm headed to my daughters tomorrow and spending the night. Saw movement in all 6 eggs but a little worried the air sacs aren't much larger than they were on three of the eggs from day 7. Any advice?

As far as the air sacs, check your humidity - make sure it's not too high. I'm having the opposite problem, low humidity. We had very low temps and my humidity pump stopped working.

I'm experiencing technical difficulties with my Rcom 20, the humidity pump stopped working. Just got the replacement part in the mail. Trying to get humidity and temp to stabilize in my Styrofoam unit, so I can transfer my lil chick eggs safely. Have to have a place to set them while I replace the humidity pump. Forgot to use distilled water, poor babies. Been putting wet paper towels in. Keeps it around 35 for a while. Hope the little chicks make it. I'll candle them when I move them.

I finally got the French Copper Maran eggs, they were shipped during the worst weather-we had a big snow storm 5 deg temps & my husband ended up in the hospital. I had my eggs setting at the post office for days waiting for me to pick them up. So thankful the delivery person didn't leave them on the porch. Hopefully, they will be going into the Farm Innovator Styrofoam unit later today.

All but two of my eggs are dancing! A few of them have large aircells. And a few have saddle shaped air cells. Have 54% humidity in the farm innovator unit. No alarm noise, either. Hope they do good.

Just replaced the humidity unit, success!

I love seeing all these pictures everyone! Makes me want to hatch out a bunch of chick babys...

But ahh...im having terrible luck with hatching! The beautiful little lone chick i hatched out died today......the cat has somehow figured to open the incubator and i figured he did something to the baby....heartbroken...

I thought i secured the incubator, but i went to it at least 30 mins ago and the lid was completely off and ALL the eggs were ice cold...all are dead expect one which is due to hatch soon...but that has a massive crack along the side, the cat learnt how to roll eggs...looks like i wont be having a new years hatch...darn cat.

Hate that so much for you.... Seems like animals can sense chicks even in the egg. Our Border Collie used to guard the incubator.

I have 1 dog with a very strong working instinct. He takes it upon himself to be the protector of... anything and everything he thinks needs protection! Lol He will plant himself in front of the brooder when there is new chicks in it.

Hi Kassaundra..haven't seen you in a while. I used to go over to the NN thread. I should go over and show off my new baby..ahem..girl. It's a girl don't ya know! I know, this is a SG..one of mine. I love me a SG or NN.

No, he is from a couple of years ago. He turned out beautiful. Went to a breeder that is working on paints.

I had some Trader Joe eggs in for this hatch a long..none even started.

The ones due on the 19th...! I had a great hatch! 14 babies hatched out of 16 that went into lock down. Silkies.

Come on..share what you use in your coops/nest boxes!   Curious minds want to know. 

Dirt. That's it. Occasionally I will throw down a little saw dust if I have a little left over from the nest boxes.

I know I'm late answering this but I just tuned into this thread to watch all you crazy Hatcher's. Ha ha. I decided not to this year been too busy with my job. I'm going to set in about two weeks and have a February hatch though. ?im having hatching withdrawal pains, my youngest ones are now 14 weeks old so not such babies anymore.
