My incubator should be here on Tuesday (the 6th), so as long as there aren't any problems with it, count me in! It'll be my first hatch EVER and I'm so stinkin' excited! I know I'll be setting some of my barnyard mix eggs and am trying to source some local breeds to add in. We'll see!

Thought I would read-a-long on this one.
A broody is sitting on eggs in the henhouse that are due on the 24th.
But the Columbian Wyandotte decided to lay in abundance, so I will set some test eggs on that pen.
Turning on the incubator tomorrow to get it warmed up and calibrated.

What do golden neck d'Uccles look like?

I would be interested in all the d'uccles how many eggs do you think you could get of all three (even an egg or two from the porcelain lol) before the 11th or early next week?

I will let you know what I have tomorrow. Today I got 5, (1 porcelain, 1 golden neck and 3 millies). So should have a dozen fresh to ship in a couple days. I think you want them shipped on Tuesday or Wednesday to get them in time to set on the 11th?

I posted some Serama eggs on the 24 hour auction in case anybody wants them for the HAL.

Looks like I can probably get out one order of d'Uccle eggs as well.....

I wanted to ask, when you do a staggered hatch, do the other eggs get affected by the rise in humidity when the first set of eggs are ready to hatch? I'm uneducated in that aspect and I might have to do a staggered hatch with placing eggs and then a couple or three days later adding new eggs
