Well, darn you all! I set my eggs the night of the 10th. After reading these posts in candling, I couldn't wait either. I've got veins in 4 that I can see!!!! Those eggs are the blue/green eggs. The 2 browns I could not see any veins yet. So excited!!!!

The whitish marks you saw are probably just striations in the shell itself... think I have 1 or 2 like that from a new layer... I'll see if I can get pics for yoh to compare to...

I'm on my phone so too hard for me to see veins for sure, but looked like a darker area in the middle of the egg that I could see...

Yeah, that makes sense. My girl hasn't been laying super long yet. I stared at that egg so long trying to see veins! I really do think I saw them, though

Balancing act

I set mine on the 10th, and looky what I saw today

X2 on the balancing act thing...not very easy, either. I almost dropped it!
Also, darn you and your perfectly visible white eggs!!

Super jealous! Lookin' good, though! I can't wait til I get to see something like that in my little googies (that's what I call them when I say good night to them...

Those darn brown eggs, am I right? Mine are driving me crazy. I can't wait til my Ameraucanas start laying...maybe I'll be able to see through theirs better. Fingers crossed that everybody has healthy happy babies wriggling around in their googies tonight, all cozy and warm!!!

Balancing act

I set mine on the 10th, and looky what I saw today

Yay! Does it have a faint circle surrounding it? As the blood vessels start to form, the bullseye enlarges and has a circular shape that eventually fades away. The reason I'm asking is because mine was on day 3 and it was starting to look spider but also had circle surrounding it and it was very prominent, leaning towards blood ring gonna give it a few more days and see if it still is prominent or if it fades! Not too confident about it

The small spiders can have a ring. They usually do. It sounds like everything is on track.

Here's a couple of pics from last year showing rings around my embryos. My camera won't take good photos of the blue eggs for some reason.

One of mine does have a circle, yes.
